Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years! π π π β¨
Weβve been busy working away to bring some much needed improvements to the lab.
Thanks to some wise (read: expensive) purchases last year weβve managed to significantly speed up and increase our capacity. Weβd like to pass on these savings to our customers, so whilst Kodakβs prices may be going up, we hope to cushion this increase somewhat for you!
No extra charge for pushing or pulling of film for up to 3 stops for colour or B&W.
Free return shipping on all orders over Β£25.
All 35mm colour scan prices are down Β£1.
We recognize everyone has individual needs, so gone are the old terms of 'Standardβ and βEnhancedβ scans.
Instead you can choose a scan size of βMediumβ or βLargeβ (the largest the scanner can do).
And now the choice between Jpeg and Tiff costs no extra and can be chosen for any size scan.
Sometimes you need medium sized Tiffs or maybe you want large resolution Jpegs, so a few rolls donβt clog up your hard drive. Your choice.
With any option, youβll get the same attention to detail and correction applied that you would expect from us.
Format choices in any scan size.
No price difference for Jpeg or Tiff scan formats.
All 35mm colour prices down by Β£1.
Weβve also scrapped the βMedium (Standard)β scan size option for 120/ medium format. Instead weβll supply Large scans for the same price we used to charge for βMediumβ sized scans because who shoots 120 and doesnβt want the extra resolution for free?
As with 35mm you can also choose between Jpeg and Tiff at no extra charge.
Weβve also added a Noritsu HS-1800 to our armoury.
Weβll still be using the Frontier SP300s as default for colour, as in our opinion you canβt beat itβs colour for the majority of cases. But the Noritsu offers a big improvement for B&W scans with higher resolutions of up to 6774 x 4492px for 35mm and greater depth and latitude.
Noritsu HS-1800
Tailor your scanner option of the Fuji Frontier or the Noritsu in your scan preferences, for no price difference.
The Noritsu offers higher resolutions and a different look for colour which we recommend for documentary type photography and when ultimate resolution and sharpness is needed .
A lot has been written on this subject so we wonβt go into that here, but you have the freedom to choose this scanner in the scan preferences box. There is no price difference for your scanner choice and yes, you can choose different scanners for different rolls.
With this scanner option we can also offer 16bit scans. These scans are absolutely huge so weβll be charging Β£4 extra per roll for this option, please also make sure you have very good internet speed so you can receive them!
It unfortunately canβt do βsloppy bordersβ for 35mm, so weβll still default to the Frontier when this option is chosen.
4x5 Large Format
By popular request, we can now do 4x5 processing and scanning for both colour and B&W
Weβve been promising 4x5 processing and scanning for a while now, so weβre happy to announce we can finally offer this for both C41 colour and B&W.
We can provide huge 7300 x 6000px files in Tiff or Jpeg format. Weβll be working on some example images soon.
However we will no longer be offering process only for any film/ process type. Weβve never done a massive amount of this, but weβve decided to streamline our services to further focus on bringing you the best scans and prints around.
